St. Veit has always been a sporting town.

For sporting activities, an indoor & outdoor pool with sauna landscape, 2 indoor tennis courts and 16 open-air tennis courts, as well as (since recently), a golf course, are all available. In St. Veit and the surrounding area, there are many different opportunities for going on a stroll, a hike or a cycling tour. Those who have less time are recommended to take a stroll around the old part of the town (along the Strassengraben), on the Kalvarienberg hill to the northwest of the town, in the Vitus Park or up to the Black Virgin on the Muraunberg.

The nearby lakes in the surrounding area such as Lake Längsee, Lake Kraigersee or Lake Hörzendorfer See invite you to relax and bathe in an unspoilt natural environment with optimal water quality.
